In the name

My first name was girl

Then my mother looked outside for a worthy name

Of the maternity ward around her.

What did I do with my first name?

I wear it

You clean the house, and do the bed for your cousin

I did not do the bed for my cousin

Help grandma fold the laundry

You talk to men with respect

Close your legs and never stay alone with a boy

Grandpa was the last man to leave the house

All the others need to be out before him.

Then it was do your nails

Then grandma’s friend, the dad of the girl with the ultimate disease

That got homeschooled right in his kiosk of sweets around the school

Extended his proposition: I’ll give you a penny each time you let me touch your nipples.

He said it the same way he replied to a request of a coconut nougat

And gave me a can for the pennies.

And that’s how I learned I had woman nipples now

That my name changed.

But what is this, what does this name mean?

How do I wear it on my own comfort?
